| Soon... |
After many years and tears (and beers?), Rush has revealed details on the long awaited and much delayed follow up to 2007's Snakes and Arrows. Clockwork Angels, which I put at the top of my Most Anticipated Albums of 2012 list, is scheduled to be released on June 12 and will be the band's 20th record. The album also has a new cover which you can plainly see. I actually prefer the original one, but this one is still pretty good. It doesn't look very angelic, though. In fact, it actually looks kind of disturbing! I'm probably going to have nightmares about it now. Anyway, here's the tracklist:
01. Caravan
02. BU2B
03. Clockwork Angels
04. The Anarchist
05. Carnies
06. Halo Effect
07. Seven Cities Of Gold
08. The Wreckers
09. Headlong Flight
10. BU2B2
11. Wish Them Well
12. The Garden
There is also information floating around about the lyrical theme of the album:
Did someone say steampunk!? Count me in! I'm also interested in seeing how the novelization turns out. Maybe I'll get around to reading it after I'm done the vision quest that is the current books in the A Song of Ice and Fire series.
As if all of these tasty nuggets of info weren't enough, Christmas came early this year because the new single off the album, "Headlong Flight", will be released to radio (and I'm assuming the Interwebs as well) on April 19. The band has released a teaser video containing a snippet of what I am also assuming is from said single which is viewable below. So, yeah.
